Home Wedding | Piggs Peak | Swaziland

Being a guest and the photographer at a wedding is never an easy thing.  It’s almost impossible to have a good time, socialise with people and also get your job done. But I just couldn’t pass up the offer of another trip to Piggs Peak, hosted by the insanely fun and generous Stephens’s family.

This was my fourth time there and it did not disappoint. There was no thunderstorm, but I mean, you can’t always get everything you want. It was hot, a whole bunch of marvellous people from the UK flew in, we had a potjie night, a curry night, sundowners, swims, an obligatory casino visit, niknaks were consumed (always an upper) and we basically just laughed alot everyday.

The wedding day followed on from the general relaxed and fun vibe and didn’t feel too much like work for me.

I shot, very professionally, for 9 hours.  Then, I simultaneously and very rapidly, did three things.

I put my camera down, downed a handful of  brandy and cokes and danced like a hooligan. Eventually having no choice but to go home when the DJ packed up.

It must be said: A woman has never looked more elegant or attractive than Fran doing the worm. Everyone definitely fell a little bit inlove with her on that dancefloor.
